Top Three Israeli Destination Weddings Guaranteed NOT to Be Like Everyone Else’s {with Premium Events Israel} – Smashing the Glass

There are so many things I love about an Israeli destination wedding. There’s no place more spiritually significant – and that’s before we even get into the fact that Israel is a totally stunning country, with a remarkably varied landscape given its small size. Plus, there’s no party like an Israeli party!

Top Three Israeli Destination Weddings Guaranteed NOT to Be Like Everyone Else’s {with Premium Events Israel} – Smashing the Glass

Here at Smashing The Glass, we’re fortunate to blog lots and lots of gorgeous destination weddings in Israel. According to our very scientific data, the most popular spot for couples from abroad making it official in Israel is a beachside location – in Tel Aviv or Caesarea – and for good reason!

But if you’re thinking of getting married in Israel and looking for something a little more unique – but just as stunning – we’ve got you! The country’s got so much variety to offer when it comes to choosing a venue for your destination wedding – and we sat down to chat with Adi Sharfi, founder of luxury event planning company Premium Events Israel, to chat about some of her favorite ideas that are just a little bit different.

With over 15 years of experience, Adi and her team at Premium Events Israel specialize in working with their clients to craft unique bespoke experiences your family and friends will remember for years to come (she’s got some truly incredible secret venues up her sleeve!), and we’re so thrilled to hear her three favorite Israeli destination wedding concepts – plus top tips on how to make them truly unforgettable.

Israeli Desert Weddings

The Mediterranean coast may draw more attention, but Israel’s deserts are just as stunning. There’s something about the stark beauty of a desert landscape that hits different – and no landscape evokes the stories of the Torah quite like it.

Between the Negev, the Judean Desert, the Dead Sea region, and the Eilat mountain range, there are lots of exquisite desert spots to choose from.

In the event pictured here, Adi and her Premium Events Israel team created the ultimate desert glamping vibe in a verdant oasis – and HOW amazing does it look? Plus, the glamping aspect of the event means your wedding festivities last more than one day – meaning more time to spend with your nearest and dearest, and more opportunities for friends and family from both sides to get to know each other.

For guests staying the night in the tents, Adi crafted Desert Survival Kit favors containing lotion, sunscreen, nuts for snacking, a mirror, mouth freshener, and other essentials for an overnight stay in the desert – putting together on-theme gift bags is such a thoughtful touch if your wedding involves camping out (or even just staying overnight in a hotel).

For this special wedding, Adi also put an emphasis on lighting design, from lighting up the dramatic surroundings to showcase those views to maximum advantage, to choosing the perfect overhead fixtures to hang above tables. One fun décor option is to go for a Moroccan vibe, which lends itself to some wonderful lighting fixture options – if you go this route, you can even bring in a henna artist for extra fun!

Israeli Vineyard Weddings

Another one of Adi’s favorite locales for an Israeli destination wedding is one of the country’s many vineyards!

There are some incredibly elegant winery venues located all over the country, from the Negev desert in the south to the lush, green mountain ranges of the Galilee in the north – and a winery wedding is the perfect way to let your guests take in the best of Israeli nature and wildlife.

Jerusalem Old City Weddings

Last but certainly not least, how about getting married in the very heart of Jerusalem’s inimitable Old City? The spiritual atmosphere is unmatched – as is the history! And that’s not even mentioning the way the light hits that iconic, ancient Jerusalem stone.

Of course, being so close to the Western Wall adds an extra special dimension to your day – if you’re marrying in the Old City, the Premium Events Israel team believe a photoshoot with the Western Wall as a backdrop is an absolute must.

As a wonderful favor for guests at an Old City wedding, taking advantage of the spiritual significance of the location, Adi suggests handing out custom Siddurs or Tehillim.
